I don’t know about all of you, but I am getting super antsy for Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving break! Since I’m so excited about the break it will mean for our family, I decided to read up about some Thanksgiving facts and put together a free Thanksgiving Crossword Puzzle Printable.
Yes, I am a nerd. I can’t help it. I just like to look up things. At least it means a Thanksgiving crossword came out of that.
I did not use one particular source for the information in the Thanksgiving Facts Crossword Puzzle, so I can’t send you to one book or website for all of the answers. However, these facts are not obscure, so don’t worry. The facts can be found through online searches.
There may even be several of the answers that kids will already from their history studies. Other facts that they’re not sure about can be found by using reference books or Google.
Plus – never fear – if you get super stuck on an answer, there is an answer key on the second page of the download.
This Thanksgiving-themed crossword printable is perfect for upper elementary and middle school students. It might also be appropriate for some high school students. Since the printable is a free instant download, you can feel free to check it out and only use it if it’s the right fit for your students.
Note: If you have students that will find this puzzle too difficult, it might be helpful to write up a word bank (based on words on the answer key) for them to work from.
