Other gardening supplies like sprinklers, hoses, gardening gloves, fertilizer, weed killer, mulch, compost, and potting soil should also be on sale too.

Thrift Stores

With all the spring cleaning and decluttering the thrift stores usually have a good amount of inventory this time of year. Which means you might be able to find a better deal this time of year than in other times of the year.

If you’re a thrift shopper May would be a good month to frequent a few of your favorite thrift stores to see if you find a good deal or two.

Cookware and Kitchen Tools

With graduation and weddings coming up soon you’ll be able to find good deals on cookware, kitchen tools, and small appliances this month. If you have a wedding or two coming up in the summer now might be the perfect time to find a gift and save on it too.

May is also a great month to find a deal on things you’ll use all summer long. Starting this month you can find charcoal, suntan lotions, sunscreen, and bug repellant on sale.

You should also start seeing sales on picnic supplies. Disposable items or semi-disposable items like plastic and paper plates and cups, paper towels, and napkins.

Mattresses

Even though you can find a good deal on mattresses almost any time of the year, May can be a great time to get the best deals. Look for coupon sales and special deals this month if you are shopping for a new mattress.

Also, be aware that most stores put their expensive mattresses in the front of the store and the less expensive one in the back. By shopping the back of the store you might find the perfect mattress at a great price too.
